Hola MAHA Members & Friends,
I’m honored to serve as the President of Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys for 2018, and I am enthusiastically looking forward to working with you to help MAHA continue to reach new heights. Due to the selfless efforts of our previous leadership, MAHA has experienced unprecedented growth. We have achieved record attendance at our events, our community engagement has flourished, and our partnerships have resulted in valuable contributions for the Latino community across Massachusetts.
As we prepare to embark on a new year, it is important that we realize the vital role that our organization plays in the legal community and beyond. Latinos, one of the largest minority groups in the United States, are severely under-represented in the legal profession. This under-representation has led to structural disadvantages for Latinos across society. Fortunately, we have come together to help address these issues and serve as a resource for our community.
With great appreciation, I would like to recognize and thank our Board of Directors for taking this challenge with me. I encourage you to get involved with MAHA by attending our meaningful programs, offering your valuable contributions, and/or signing up for our newly established Action Committees. If you have not had the chance, please take the time to join or renew your membership. Your contributions will benefits our community exponentially.
2018 will be a year of progress for MAHA, and I thank you for support.
Alexander Rodriguez, Esq.
